What's in a Name?

There have been mini wars started on the newsgroups, and such because, gawd's forbid, someone is reporting the information on the Al Qaeda Jihad in Europe group's claim to the London bombings, and others who say you can't believe them and how DARE you repeat it!

So I say who the hell cares what's in a name? The fact is some radical extremist nutters out there bombed the shit outta London in the name of their delusional religious expectations! Who cares if its Al Qaeda? who cares if its the local fraternity of Mikey Mouse fart smellers? Its Terrorism!!!!!! Just because Al Qaeda is known as a radical offshoot of the Muslim faith, don't most religions (except for the Buddhists) have their own radical factions? What about calling all the Baptist extremist nutters who bombed abortion clinics? Were we wrong to call them Baptist/Born again idiot/extremists? NO! It's just identifying with the particular faiths' most well known extremist group.

So people get over yourselves ... who cares what the name is - unless its REALLY YOUR group and you want recognition (in which case we have another issue to talk about) - its terrorism and its wrong! Muslims are far different to me than the people of Al Qaeda -- however they may have the same relgious "designation" - they are far different in their application of their holy text -- just like the IRA vs. the Catholics, Solar Temple vs. spirituality, Radical sihks who blew up the Air India plane vs. regular sihks, its all the same schitck!
