Illuminares Festival in Vancouver, BC, Canada

We attended the festival last night for the first time. It was a wonderful event only marred by a couple of noted problems. 1) It seems because a great majority of the crowd were there just to toke up, those of us who were outside to enjoy the "fresh" air had to be constantly subjected to heavy marijuana smoke. It's just so fricking annoying that free will means that the dense drugged up goons make us subjected to their stupidity and habit. We were sitting in a space under a tree and we had young children with us, but still the moroms with their pot, had to come into the immediate vicinty and toke up! Disgusting! 2) The other issue was the one of lack of washrooms! At one point the lineup even for the men's this is, was 20 minutes long!

It could have been such a wonderful night but even the people we were with who had youngsters and have been coming for a while commented on the above noted issues. 2nd hand smoke of any kind is 2nd hand smoke. Some of us with asthma issues can't tolerate smoke of ANY kind. But again the pot heads can't seem to respect anyone else because they're too engrossed in fueling their habit. How truly sad for an event that could have so much community potential.

Evangalist Benny Hinn in trouble yet again, or still?

Exclusive: Ministry says questions about finance, structure are routine. The IRS is questioning televangelist Benny Hinn's organization about its operations and finances – issues that underlie its tax-exempt status as a church.

The inquiry into the flamboyant faith healer's ministry began a year ago, and the IRS has asked for dozens of detailed answers, according to documents provided to The Dallas Morning News by a watchdog group. The Trinity Foundation has investigated Mr. Hinn for more than a decade and condemns his leadership as autocratic and his lifestyle as lavish.

Benny Hinn
Evangelist Benny Hinn is controversial for his frequently aberrant - and at times heretical - theology, his unorthodox practices, and his false claims. Nevertheless, large numbers of people who indentify themselves as Christians follow - and, often, appear to worship - this preacher.

The IRS wouldn't discuss the case, and it's unclear whether the agency's concerns about the ministry, which is estimated to raise more than $100 million annually, are close to being resolved or will open an audit .........

What Tibetan and other Remote Viewers See in the Future

What Remote Viewers See in the Future
Author: Stuart Miller
Source: Unknowncountry
Date: 7/13/2005

But why do they have to be Tibetan?

We've had several remote viewers on Dreamland, and most of you know that Anne and Whitley met secret CIA remote viewers when they came to their cabin in New York State. While the government now denies it has such a program, these experts are surely being used as part of Homeland Security, to search for terrorists. Remote viewing has been practiced for thousands of years in Tibetan monasteries, and some people are taking lessons from the monks there. What do the monks see happening in the future?

According to the remote viewers, major world powers are in the course of self-destruction, but the world will NOT be destroyed. Between now and 2012, superpowers will continue to engage in regional and religious wars. Terrorism will be the main problem. In 2012, the world will begin moving towards nuclear war. (Note: this will undoubtedly create an atmosphere of even greater religious extremism. Also, 2012 is the date that the Mayans thought the world would end, since their calendar does not go past that date).

According to the monks, in 2012, ETs will intervene and stop the destruction, since it's not yet our destiny for the world to end.

The Tibetan monks say that every human being though has a life plan, and while we can alter our future to some extent, changing the destiny of the world is not possible. They also says that after 2012, we will realize that the final frontier of science is the same as spirituality.

What's in a Name?

There have been mini wars started on the newsgroups, and such because, gawd's forbid, someone is reporting the information on the Al Qaeda Jihad in Europe group's claim to the London bombings, and others who say you can't believe them and how DARE you repeat it!

So I say who the hell cares what's in a name? The fact is some radical extremist nutters out there bombed the shit outta London in the name of their delusional religious expectations! Who cares if its Al Qaeda? who cares if its the local fraternity of Mikey Mouse fart smellers? Its Terrorism!!!!!! Just because Al Qaeda is known as a radical offshoot of the Muslim faith, don't most religions (except for the Buddhists) have their own radical factions? What about calling all the Baptist extremist nutters who bombed abortion clinics? Were we wrong to call them Baptist/Born again idiot/extremists? NO! It's just identifying with the particular faiths' most well known extremist group.

So people get over yourselves ... who cares what the name is - unless its REALLY YOUR group and you want recognition (in which case we have another issue to talk about) - its terrorism and its wrong! Muslims are far different to me than the people of Al Qaeda -- however they may have the same relgious "designation" - they are far different in their application of their holy text -- just like the IRA vs. the Catholics, Solar Temple vs. spirituality, Radical sihks who blew up the Air India plane vs. regular sihks, its all the same schitck!

HH the Dalai Lama turns 70

Thousands of Tibetan exiles have celebrated the Dalai Lama's 70th birthday in the northern Indian town of Dharamsala. A Tibetan dance and music festival is being staged in honour of the event. The Dalai Lama has lived in India since he fled from Chinese troops in 1959, basing his government-in-exile in the hill-top town.

He began Wednesday's festivities by unveiling a book on India's independence hero, Mahatma Gandhi. The Dalai Lama's personal secretary, Tensing Takala, told the BBC that various celebrations were planned. ...............

Astrologer sues Nasa over probe

Astrologer sues Nasa over probe

Ms Bai failed in her attempts to prevent the experiment
A Russian astrologer is suing Nasa for crashing a probe into a comet, claiming it has distorted her horoscope.

Marina Bai is seeking $300m (£170m) in damages, saying the probe's impact on Comet Tempel 1 violated her "life and spiritual values". She had tried to have a Moscow court prevent the experiment from taking place but her action was rejected. Nasa smashed the washing machine-sized "impactor" into the comet at a distance of 133m km from Earth on Monday. ................
